
The Miracle Scholars program is designed for students who have foster care experience, such as a foster home, group home, or relative placement by the court system. These students will be highly motivated to enroll in an accredited educational institution to obtain a certificate, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, and make appropriate progress towards that goal within the time frame established by the program.
These students will also meet the following criteria:
College

Qualify for admission to their selected institution

Apply for financial aid (FAFSA) and NC Reach Grant

Abide by the their institution’s Student Code of Conduct
-
Achieve satisfactory academic progress each semester
Community

Be a US Citizen, unmarried, and have a negative drug screen

Abide by Miracle Scholars Student Code of Conduct
-
Maintain household responsibilities
-
Maintain job responsibilities
Character
-
Participate in character development program(s)

Participate in service opportunities
