A Second Century of The Crossnore School

In an effort to ensure financial self-sufficiency, The Crossnore School launched the 2nd Century Campaign in 2010 with a goal of $13,000,000 restricted to the School’s endowment. For us, growing the endowment is all about vision – the vision of building capacity, creating the power to serve and providing the ability of The Crossnore School to be here serving children and youth for another 100 years. Our endowment is far from moldy funds sitting in a bank’s vault. Our endowment ensures that our children will have the clothes, education and help they need to succeed; that family groups will be able to stay together instead of being separated; that that our School will continue to be a Christian sanctuary of hope and healing.

In 2014, in response to a very generous gift, we decided to increase the original goal to $20,000,000 by adding a capital initiative to the Campaign. The “Young Children’s Village” consists of three cottages designed to serve our younger children, and a new high school to meet the education needs of our teens.

Naming opportunities are still available. To learn more about how you can support the 2nd Century Campaign, please contact Kelli Wilson, senior advancement officer, or Caroline Hart, chief advancement officer, at (828) 733-4305.
